The Association of Iowa Archaeologists’ consultants list is provided as a courtesy for those seeking to hire archaeologists for federally permitted or assisted projects. This list contains organizations that conduct archaeological research in Iowa on a contractual basis. Company names are listed alphabetically.
All of the companies on this list include at least one AIA member who identifies themselves as meeting the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archeology and has prior work experience in Iowa. Inclusion on the list does not in any way constitute an endorsement by the AIA. The AIA does not certify the professional qualifications of its members, nor does it guarantee the quality of their work.
To be listed, consultants should complete and submit an Application to List to the Secretary-Treasurer at least 30 days prior to the AIA’s annual business meeting. At least one person at the applying organization must be an SOI-qualified AIA Fellow in good standing. Consultants are responsible for providing updates to their contact information.
